On August 13th, early in the morning, we received an urgent call from a customer in San Francisco regarding their dishwasher. It had been acting up for a few days, with water not draining properly, but that morning the situation escalated as water started overflowing and causing leaks. Understanding the urgency of the problem, Triton Appliance Repair quickly responded by dispatching a technician right away.
When the technician arrived, the customer was understandably panicked and had surrounded the dishwasher with towels to prevent water damage to the floor. The technician’s first step was to shut off the water supply to the unit and remove the excess water, assuring the customer that no further leaks would occur during the diagnostic process.
It took the technician just 15 minutes to identify the problem: a faulty water valve that needed to be replaced. The part was relatively inexpensive and could be delivered within 2 business days, which was acceptable to the customer, and they promptly approved the repair quote.
The follow-up appointment was scheduled for the same week after the part arrived on time. Once the dishwasher was repaired, the technician offered to inspect any other appliances as part of our preventative maintenance service. The customer mentioned having issues with their dryer, which had been making noise for quite some time.
Upon inspection, the technician found that one of the drum support rollers in the dryer was about to fail. Fortunately, this is a common issue, and the technician had the necessary part in stock. The repair was reasonably priced and included a discount for being a return customer, which greatly pleased the customer. While repairing the dryer, the technician also cleaned out an excessive amount of accumulated lint, which could have affected the dryer’s performance due to restricted airflow.
