On August 12, a returning customer from South San Francisco contacted Triton Appliance Repair regarding a recurring issue with their washer. After receiving excellent service a year prior, they felt confident in turning to us again for help. This time, the washer was mysteriously filling with water every morning, even when not in use. Initially, it wasn’t a major concern. However, after an unexpected weekend away, the customer came back to find the washer overflowing—a clear sign the issue required immediate attention.
During our initial inspection, our technician, with over 6 years of experience, performed diagnostic tests, but no error messages were displayed, and the washer seemed to be functioning normally. However, after carefully waiting 30 minutes between test cycles, we noticed a subtle internal water leak coming from the detergent dispenser. This led to the discovery of the root cause: a faulty water valve solenoid that wasn’t sealing properly, allowing a small but continuous flow of water into the machine.
